Dhask In Global Battle Of Band

Bandar Seri Begawan - Popular local band DHask is demonstrating their serious dedication to music by entering a musical group competition that will be held this Friday, Oct 30 at the Borneo Rainforest Sunway in Petaling Jaya, Kuala Lumpur.



Named the Global Battle of the Band (GBOB), DHask is among the outside group listed, and will compete with 10 other Malaysian groups.



Organised by Elevate Malaysia, GBOB is one of the many big musical contests held in Malaysia that aims to scout talented musicians. It has received an encouraging response from as many as 50 bands throughout Malaysia, as well as from Singapore and Brunei. The champion for the whole Malaysia category from this competition will walk home with a US$50,000 prize, while the champion for the world category (to be held in London soon) would walk home with an attractive prize of US$100,000.



With two songs composed, DHask is hoping that they could reach the contest's finals, which will be held this Nov 14 at the Titanium Super Dance Club in Petaling Jaya.



Apart from this, DHask will also become a guest band artist for an entertainment programme scheduled to be held at the Istana Budaya in KL on October 3 1, which would also feature other GBOB participants, as well as Mawi and Stacy from AF.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
